(Colorado Springs, CO) September 22, 2008 – British-American sibling duo, also known as The Sonflowerz, Becca and Elissa Leander, got their launch in the 33rd annual GMA Music in the Rockies conference, where they won “Best Over-All Vocal Group” in August of 2007. They have since recorded their third studio release, All Over The World, and have just signed with Avista Records, a division label of Provident-Integrity Distribution.
Following huge radio airplay success of radio singles “My Adoration” (#2 CRW INSPO, #4 R&R INSPO, 417 Stations) and “Edge of My Seat” (#1 CRW IAA Chart – 3 Weeks, 174 Stations), the duo has just released their 3rd single “More Than I Think I Am” to AC/INSPO formats with enthusiastic response. Early radio adds from 42 stations include Family Life Communications Network of stations and XM Satellite Radio.
Dave Purin, PD at CRW INSPO reporter WHCB (Bristol, TN) said, “The Sonflowerz came by our station last week and that was a real treat for us! I have to confess when I first got their CD I didn't really listen to it. But I kept hearing about them from CRW and so my GM and I sat down and listened. We were blown away! I am now a Sonflowerz convert! I'm loving the new Sonflowerz single "More Than I Think I Am." I can't get it out of my head and that's a good thing!”
The single, “More Than I Think I Am” tested high on Hit Music Research with a 3.8 among women 18-54. After hearing the song on the radio, one woman wrote The Sonflowerz and said, “I have finally left a domestic violence marriage after 17 years. I heard the song "My Adoration" on the radio while in my car. I was so blessed by that song that I came home and found your website. That's when I heard "More Than I Think I Am" for the first time. I just wanted to share with you that God used that song to minister to me more than I can convey with mere words. Thanks for the beautiful reminder! God bless you. Please continue to glorify Him through the gifts He has given you!”
